EARLY CONFEDERATE CIVIL WAR FAYETTEVILLE TYPE III RIFLE FOUND IN A VIRGINIA BARN ! A Scarce Confederate Civil War Fayetteville Type III Rifle Found In A Barn In Virginia. All original metal which is pitted throughout. The barrel is full lenght at 33 inches. The Fayetteville markings & 1863 date are still visible on the lock. The hammer is the correct S Type. The brass butt plate is stamped CSA. The gun is all original except for the wood being cut back most likely by a Confederate Soldier who came home. The gun still works mechanically. This is A great Example Of An Honest Confederate Rifle That Would Be A Great Addition To Any Civil War Collection!
