The inside of the pack is also fine & has a beautiful ink stencil identification on the inside of the flap. Private Thompson was in from 1861 to 1863. His regiment saw heavy losses at Camden N.C., Antietam MD, & Fredericksurg VA. It is Very Difficult To Find These Hardpacks In Nice Condition Especially Being Identified To A Soldier With Very Good History!
